ALASKA ACES PRESS RELEASE this Feb 16, 2022 After more than 3 decades of basketball, titles, and a grandslam, it is with a heavy heart that Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC) announces the retirement of its Alaska Aces team from the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

“We thought long and hard before making this final decision. However, we believe that this will allow us to focus our resources on providing affordable nutrition for Filipino families,” said Chairman Fred Uytengsu. The decision is also aligned with the global directive of AMC’s parent company, FrieslandCampina, to implement an organizational transformation that ensures long-term sustainability.

“The Aces franchise will always be very special to me. I had the good fortune of starting this franchise at the age of 24 and learn so much about team dynamics and building championship teams from the players and coaching staff. We take great pride in our participation and success all these years and know we won with integrity. I also want to thank the Pba for our many yearsof partnership and wish the league continued success in the years to come. ” Uytengco shared.

For the last 35 seasons, the Alaska Aces has brought pride, honor, and joy to AMC. We are extremely grateful for the extraordinary talents of all our players and coaches and the hard work of the team’s managers and staffs, whom we all consider as family. Rest assured, we will ensure that each one of them will be taken care of as they transition into a new chapter in their careers.

As we bid farewell to our beloved Alaska Aces team, we thank all of you, loyal fans and supporters, for showing your love and support through all of these years. May the memory of Alaska Aces live on forever. Wala pa rin tatalo sa Alaska!
